The original theme is famous aria "Lascia ch'io pianga" in the opera "Rinald" composed by George Frederic Handel (Georg Friedrich Händel). It was adapted in the movie "Castrato". So perhaps many people know its meldy. (The arrangement with music box style is thrown in.)
This data consist of 8 variations of this theme.
It consists of "theme" and 8 variations.
It is the melody of "Lascia ch'io pianga". Original aria has the structure of [A][B][A]. It is , so called, "Da capo aria". I adapted only [A] section. The section [A] can be devided into three subsections, which are A(8 bars),B(6 bars) and recapituration of A(8 bars.) In my data, they are played with the form of A-A-B-A.
The codes are almost same as the theme. You can find the theme easily in this variation.
It is F-minor. But the code is still similar to the theme. The theme has the structure of A-A-B-A, but this variation has the structure of A-A-B-A-B-A.
It is changed into 4/4 time. The melody of the theme is almost the 2nd violin and the 1st violin makes free imitation of it.
It is free from the theme. The beginning 2th in theme is developed with arnaments. The subsection B is almost the same as the theme.
It is much more free from the theme than Var.4. The beginning melody is inversion of the beginning of the theme. Subsection B is also appeared in its inversed form.
The variations before this are free variations. But Var.6 is approched to the theme. Althougth the meldy and time are not the same , the code processing is completly same as the theme.
The first 4 bars are related to the theme. But after these bars are free from the theme. The 4-th note dominates the whole of this variation.
This variation is free fugue based on the beginning of the theme changed into 2/4 time. Coda is recapituration of the original aria.
